Cambridge Brass Band is excited to present "From the Uttermost Ends of the Earth" a concert in celebration of the relationship between Cambridge and Le Quesnoy. They will be joined by the Matamata Brass Band, Cambridge and District Pipe Band, singer Rebecca Nelson, and composer and conductor Dwayne Bloomfield for a not-to-be-missed afternoon of music.
Rebecca Nelson is an acclaimed Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) vocalist. A breathtaking performer, Rebecca sang in Cambridge during Armistice weekend several years ago, and also sang at the November 4th centenary commemorations in Le Quesnoy last year.
Dwayne Bloomfield is an esteemed Canterbury musician who composed a piece of music entitled ‘The Liberation of Le Quesnoy’ which had its premiere played by the Cambridge Brass Band at the November 4th commemorations in le Quesnoy last year. This piece will feature in the 1st September concert and be conducted by Dwayne.
It’s on Father’s Day, so a great concert to take dads along to. Tickets can be purchased from Paper Plus in Cambridge, or by cash sale at the door.
