We are planning Bastille Day festivities here in Cambridge...
Plans are underway for some fun FAMILY-FRIENDLY events in Cambridge such as French themed face painting, the Furry Friends French Fashion competition and parade, a display at the museum and more.
Pet owners are invited to dress up their animals and bring them along to the Cambridge-Le Quesnoy Friendship Association stand outside the BNZ where there will be a Furry Friends French Fashion competition and parade. Entries are open from 12noon, with a red carpet parade, judging and prizes at 1.30pm. There will also be a category for stuffed toys, and free French themed face painting to get the humans looking the part.
Other French activities happening around town include a scavenger hunt at Cambridge Museum with special items from the Le Quesnoy collection including a brick from the walls at Le Quesnoy (that NZ soldiers scaled to liberate the town in WW1), and French themed shop windows and café selections.
